Images of your gels are posted on Owlspace under Resources. You will need copies of both gels on which your samples were loaded, so we hope that you noted the names of your partner group. You will need clean copies for the figures in your results section. It will not be necessary to print off the gels in color.
You may make modifications to an image such as improving overall brightness and/or contrast, but any enhancements must apply to the entire image. You must not selectively intensify specific bands, for example.
If you clearly have a bad gel you may use a better gel for the characterization. All of the data generated by the class are considered the property of the entire laboratory, so there is no need to cite the source (unless an instructor advises otherwise for this particular assignment).
